Mahaprabhu Shrimad Vallabhacharya (1479–1531) was a great saint and philosopher of India who founded the Krishna-centered Pushtimarga. He was a Vaishnava saint, who promoted devotion to Lord Krishna.

Shrimad Vallabhacharya had composed a stotra named “Madhurashtakam” which is based on the sweetness of Lord Shri Krishna. In this stotra he has described various pastimes of Lord Krishna and their sweetness. “Madhurashtakam” is very famous among the devotees and they recite it in worship of Lord Krishna.

Your speech is sweet, Your nature is sweet, Your garments are sweet, Your bent posture is sweet, Your walking is sweet, Your creation of confusion is sweet, Everything about You is sweet, O Lord of Sweetness.

वेणुर्मधुरो रेणुर्मधुरः पाणिर्मधुरः पादौ मधुरौ ।
नृत्यं मधुरं सख्यं मधुरं मधुराधिपते रखिलं मधुरं ॥ ३॥

Your flute-playing is sweet, Your foot-dust is sweet, Your hands are sweet, Your feet are sweet, Your dancing is sweet, Your friendship is sweet, Everything about You is sweet, O Lord of Sweetness.

गीतं मधुरं पीतं मधुरं भुक्तं मधुरं सुप्तं मधुरं ।
रूपं मधुरं तिलकं मधुरं मधुराधिपते रखिलं मधुरं ॥ ४॥

Your singing is sweet, Your drinking is sweet, Your eating is sweet, Your sleeping is sweet, Your form is sweet, Your tilaka mark is sweet, Everything about You is sweet, O Lord of Sweetness.

करणं मधुरं तरणं मधुरं हरणं मधुरं रमणं मधुरं ।
वमितं मधुरं शमितं मधुरं मधुराधिपते रखिलं मधुरं ॥ ५॥

Your actions are sweet, Your crossing over is sweet, Your stealing is sweet, Your sporting is sweet, Your moments are sweet, Your forgiveness is sweet, Everything about You is sweet, O Lord of Sweetness.

गुञ्जा मधुरा माला मधुरा यमुना मधुरा वीची मधुरा ।
सलिलं मधुरं कमलं मधुरं मधुराधिपते रखिलं मधुरं ॥ ६॥

Your guñjā beads are sweet, Your garland is sweet, The Yamunā River is sweet, Your path is sweet, Your water is sweet, Your lotus is sweet, Everything about You is sweet, O Lord of Sweetness.

गोपी मधुरा लीला मधुरा युक्तं मधुरं मुक्तं मधुरं ।
दृष्टं मधुरं सृष्टं मधुरं मधुराधिपते रखिलं मधुरं ॥ ७॥

Your gopīs are sweet, Your pastimes are sweet, Your union is sweet, Your liberation is sweet, Everything is sweet, sweet, sweet, Everything about You is sweet, O Lord of Sweetness.

गोपा मधुरा गावो मधुरा यष्टिर्मधुरा सृष्टिर्मधुरा ।
दलितं मधुरं फलितं मधुरं मधुराधिपते रखिलं मधुरं ॥ ८॥

Your Gopas are delightful, Krishna, As are your cows, Your staff radiates charm, Krishna, Just like the world you’ve crafted, The ground you walk upon is cherished, Krishna, As are the jests you share, Oh ruler of all that’s endearing in this realm, Every facet of You is enchanting.
